A Sword from Red Ice is the third book in the Sword of Shadows fantasy series by J. V. Jones. The first two books in the series are A Cavern of Black Ice and A Fortress of Grey Ice. Originally presented as a trilogy, but recent information suggests that Red Ice is not the final book, and there may be several more to come, one such book having been published following this titled "Watcher of the Dead."[1] This information includes the website of Tor, Jones' US publisher, which states that Red Ice is book three of five in the Sword of Shadows series.[2]
